I am a Game Designer with a passion for telling stories through intuitive gameplay mechanics and thoughtful character design. I am a firm believer in hands-on testing and rapid iteration, and I bring my ideas to life using the skills I obtained while working as a Unity Engineer and earning my degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
Video games have played an important role in my life and have been a constant presence. As a kid, games like Final Fantasy X moved me emotionally and sparked a lifelong curiosity about how games can captivate Players with profound stories. In college, I was drawn to competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee and learned how gaming communities can create meaningful experiences and friendships across social boundaries. I lost (a lot), participated in events across the country, and even wound up running some of my own tournaments.
When I created my first video game, Mello Madness, it solidified my love of working together with others to create the space for Players to discover new perspectives and ways to relate to each other. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from our Players cemented my passion for creating video games.
As an intern at Booz Allen Hamilton, I went on to refine my design and project management skills working in augmented reality as a project and design lead of AR-Craft Academy while also implementing our designs as an engineer. I continued to build my technical skills as a full time Unity engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, delivering multiple finished VR and iOS experiences.
These days, I’m working as a Test Automation Engineer for Def-Logix, Inc. and I spend most of my spare time keeping my design skills sharp by participating in Game Jams regularly and working on side projects including my YouTube channel with over 50 instructional videos on Apex Legends and a 3rd person fighting game in Unity. I aspire to work with a diverse range of colleagues who share my passion for creating innovative, mind-blowing games for others. When I’m not making stuff, you can find me missing all of my shots in Overwatch, botching my runs in Hades, or trying not to break the math in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.
